Thatch Close is approached from a quiet country lane, which leads onto our 1/3 mile long private drive. The drive has mature lime trees, ancient hedges and in the spring abounds with daffodils, which are then followed by cowslips and bluebells and other wild flowers.
About an acre of our land is devoted to lawns and garden including Wellingtonias, Robinia, and other mature trees. Up steps and across lawns you will find several patios, surrounded by rambling roses and other flowering shrubs, where you can sit and enjoy the views. An ideal place to rest and listen to the birds.
The 150 year old wisteria flowers profusely over the front of the house. The house is set within 12 acres of its own land, and surrounded by farmland. Our small ancient fields are bounded by mature hedges with a range of large trees offering a haven to wildlife.
Frogs, newts and dragonflies can be seen in the seasonal field pond.
We also have three beautiful self catering cottages just to the side of the main house.
